”’ElectorwaveZ”’ is an Arabic Electronic dance music group formed by Richard Savo and Charlie Shaabi in 2008 Acre. As well as other acts they have achieved mainstream popularity in the middle east.

History

The two brothers belonged first to the Arabic Rap band MWR along with Waseem Akar and Mahmoud Shalaby from 1999 – 2004. After their break up with the MWR band, Charlie and Richard decided to continue their career by developing a Dance House music version of the traditional Arabic wedding hit Hawallom.

After the success the “Hawallom” Remix brought for their band in 2007, they continued their musical talent by combining electronic rhythm and oriental fusion vibe with Arabic instruments and famous Arab singers.

In November,2007 Charlie and Richard participated in the Chemical Brothers contest “Salmon Dance Remix” and achieved the second place with a great appreciation from Chemical Brothers band, which were shocked by the oriental Remix that Charlie and Richard have made for.

Their new hit is a Mediterranean Arabic dance floor Remix for Fairuz’s song “Kano Ya Habibi”, which achieved the first place in a Israeli local radio in a musical contest called “Fan Fananina” for tree weeks.

ElectrowaveZ are working for their first album “Brainstorm” hopefully to be release Soon.
